32 weeks ultrasound diagnosed clubfeet boy?Urgent help?

Question by Krishna: 32 weeks ultrasound diagnosed clubfeet boy?Urgent assist?
I am 33 weeks pregnant with my 1st baby boy.The physician in my 22nd week ultrasound said my child may well have a clubbed feet but she was not sure.in the 32nd week scan she confirmed he got it.But i am still hoping it will turn into normal just before he is born.Thats just a unrealistic hope though. But i want to be ready with treatment choices prior to he is born.

I live in ohio and wanna know parents in ohio with clubfoot children and how they fixed their baby's legs.Pls contact me.My husband has really accepted the reality. But for me it is still devastating to even feel my small boy has clubfoot.I have been feeling truly low ever since i came back from my OB last week.Pls mail me.my id is mythu.krishna@gmail.com

Also tell me your experiences about treatment and how the babies r performing now.we were thinking about shriners hospital. If you have any experience with them pls mail me or answer in detail.

Thank you all in advance

My only worry would be is that he would have to have an operation, but club feet isn't fatal like some issues are and other than that I am assuming he's healthy.

  1. I live in ohio too. :) YAY HOT weather. Anyways I am having my first child also. Due ins eptember I wouldnt never stop hoping and praying. you never know what god can do. Not trying to give you a spirtiual speech. :)

I know that on the ultrasound they are pretty for sure, and at 33 weeks usually nothing will change. but you never know what can happen we are all gods little miricles.
I have heard a lot about the cord blood... or something fixing things wrong with the baby. but IDK if it will fix that problem.

Either way you could ry and get it dixed after he is born.. I think but not certain.

I am here for you if you want to talk, and have comfort. and need any help with anything

  2. My son is 4. His hand had gotten caught in my ribcage and 3 of his fingers didn't fully develop. I was like you (just devastated) didn't know what to do and wanted comfort. shriners hospital couldn't do anythings for him. Today it hasn't bothered him at all. He does anything a 4 year old boy does. He's learning how to tie his shoes just fine! Your baby will be just fine! I raised him thinking there isn't anything wrong and just being a little different is a blessing!!! And the same for your child.
I hope you know that this is difficult and there are worse things that have happened. It's a blessing that we can even have children!

  3. Hi there my brother was born with a club foot and at 25 years old lives a very sporty active life. I was only young when he was born, but my Mother said that he had surgery on his foot and then had to wear a cast for awhile. My Mum also had to do all these special exercises on his foot when the cast was off.

All I know is that it isn't as bad a it seems ok? I completly understand how you feel as a mother myself you just want everything to be perfect. I'm sure your little boy will be perfect and this is just a minor set back :)

Good luck to you and your little boy xoxoxo

  4. The Shriners Hospitals are fantastic. There is absolutely no cost once your baby is accepted and they have top notch doctors and are on the cutting edge of technology and current procedures.

As the proud father of an 8 week old, I can empathize with you. I would also be devastated if anything happened to him. Trust your doctors and do what they tell you and your little boy will be fine.
